Remapping Skoda Fabia VRS.

Featured Replies

HI,

I have a Skoda Fabia VRS and had for it about 3 and half years now, really enjoying the drive. I got it when it has done 52k on the clock and now done 93k.

With having it for this long now, I am considering getting it remapped as I just want a tiny bit more power in it. I was debatting on getting another car but don't want to spend thousands of pounds on a new car, when I still have a perfectly good one.

My question really is would it be ok to get it remapped at 93K would it be ok, is there any major problems that I should be looking out for?

Any help on this matter would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Ben at Shark told me that so long as the clutch and turbo were strong, the mileage was irrelevant. And I trust Ben.

Do it, but be prepared to need a new clutch and possibly a new turbo too.

Get a faboka (hidden power) low torque remap.

If you get the remap done by proven specialist. Then you should end up with a car has 170-180 hp rather than 130

Some ppl go for the plugn play. But go for personal map.

Theres power maps or economy.

The map on my pd100 has no nasty spikes. Just smooth all the way through rev range and doest drop but fades nicely

I have 144hp now its a dream

Post-remap, the clutch may slip. Probably best to discuss with your mapper before regarding freebie map tweaking if that happens.

My VRS was on 40k when I had remapped a year ago. Now on 65k no issues at all. That was with a shark remap.

However do not discount Faboka he's got fantastic reviews and does the map to what you want.
