Real world MPG for 2.0 TDI CR Octavia Combi

Featured Replies

I'm looking to buy an Octavia Mk3 Elegance Combi soon and I might consider the 2.0tdi cr.

Anyone out there with this model who could tell me what sort of mpg figures you are getting.

Edit: It will be a DSG gearbox.

Expect 50s, I can nearly get that out of my 184ps so I'm sure the 150ps will be more frugal. :)

i get an average 46 to 48 with mixed driving conditions.

I can get low 50's in the rush hour traffic, Wednesday night coming home from work I managed to get 60 mpg it all depends on what the traffic is like and how you drive the car

Not a combi but a hatch with the same engine and gearbox.  40mpg round town, 46 on a long run.

I dont go for mpg but i do go by how happy i am with my VRs kombi tdi dsg. Small tank and i get around 49. We went to cornwall did 465 miles before a fillup which im happy with. Booted it back in 5 hours and laned on empty, again I'm more than happy with that. For the comfort. Q car looks and multi role capability i dont think i could have picked a better car. Is it as well built as my v40 cross country ? Hell no and it bloody would have been anoying if it had been.

Mine has only done 4000 miles so it's still quite new, but it does about 50 on a run and 45 in mixed driving. It's not as good as I was hoping for but it beats the 18 I was getting in my spec B Legacy!

After just over 10k miles, my estate is delivering about 48 average and 50Mpg at a push.  Actually quite disappointed with the economy given i was getting 50+ with my old a6 avant 1.9PD a few years back which was a bigger, heavier car.  There really needs to be a push to get rid of these fantasy island figures the manufacturrs pump out.  68mpg must be with the optional sail and tailwind

Mine is full of plumbing gear. I get an  average of 40mpg. This is stop start going from job to job.

Without the tools going to the coast for the day say, I can get 50mpg.

It is a 2L DSG TDI. I am happy with these figures.

You should not believe the press.

Mine does around 41 mpg but a lot of urban driving and shortish ones at that. Coming back from Cornwall last summer on an 180 mile trip I got my best ever return of 60 mpg.

Mind you for the past 7 weeks it has averaged 0 mpg as it's been in various Skoda workshops looking for a water leak!

Check out the website in my signiture.

I have the 184PS version & average 52mpg over 35,000km (can get above 60mpg if I drive very carefully).

As always fuel economy is very dependant on the way you drive.

Even if you had good economy with a previous car it doesn't guarentee you will achieve the same with the new car unless you recognise how you are driving.

See my sig - DSG Combi

Only done 5k miles though, and it is steadily improving. This is through winter when economy is worse as well.
