Fabia interior light fuse instantly blows

Featured Replies

Just purchased a fabia vrs, the interior light wasnt working after the previous owner changed a headlight bulb. I just assumed a fuse? I had a look and the fuse was blown and as soon and I put another fuse in it blew instantly. I know this is a long shot but has anyone got any ideas?

All bulbs look ok. Cheers

i was in a similar position i would:

-Check all fuses are the correct amp that shows in the manual

- If any leds chuck them, old ones messed all my electrics up, i think maybe they where the wrong watt or unprotected .. not sure.

- pull out interior light check wiring, switches

Are the door safety lights working?

No the door lights arnt working all bulbs are not led ones. joe

check fuse number 4, wiggle it also.. had to change mine. did you replace with 10amp ?

It might be worth pulling the light unit out check for shorts, maybe water, then check doors, not done this not sure how :P

I actually put a 15 in there as that was the lowest i had.

I will check behind the interior light and ill also check for wires shorting in the tailgate and doors

Remove the interior light . Then put a fuse in. If the fuse does not immediately blow then reconnect the interior light if it then immediately blows then the interior light has a short circuit.

Just removed the 3 bulbs and the boot bulb and the fuse still blew straight away!

Im guessing there must be a short somewhere
