Hi  I have a 1.9 combi with roof bars as standard the manuals state roof load across the range is 75kg which in old money is just under 12 stone.  I want to move a sofa I have no idea how heavy it is Has anyone experience of exceeding the limits set 

I doubt very very much that your sofa is over 75kg
