Nearly a Skoda

Featured Replies

Hi everyone, I bought an ex-demo Seat Mii Toca last summer and as there appears to be no active Mii forum I thought I would join the citigo section of this one.

I have had no trouble with my car it even goes into reverse smoothly, the only thing I have been surprised by is how thin the roof seems to be, I put a couple of tiny dents in it when cleaning it, am I just heavy handed or has anyone else experienced this.

Welcome (sort of!)  :D

Yes the roof is a bit thin (as are all modern cars) but I've not managed to dent mine.

I have a small dent from something hitting the roof  :'(

Welcome  any pics?

My roof popped in and out again the first time i washed it. I was more careful after that.

Welcome [emoji4]

It is a bit "poppy" the roof when washing it. Don't worry all is good and enjoy your Seat [emoji106]

I guess I will have to caress it rather than scrub it :D .

Do you think lining it with Silentcoat sound deading panels would help give it some rigidity, with the added benefit of improving the acoustics in the car.

The Citigo bonnet is a bit flimsy too, don't lean on it.

In comparison, my Toledo bonnet is heavy and feels solid.

I stick on here as the Seat forum (Toledo section) is a bit quiet and not much content.

Oh and welcome, most stuff on here will apply to your model anyway.

Soundproofing certainly would be an advantage on these in certain places [emoji106]

I was thinking specifically the roof to prevent it denting so easily. I know silentcoat is supposed to stop panel vibration when exposed to audio so I thought it might add some strength as well.

I'll have a go this summer and see what happens.

That'll be headlining down though won't it? [emoji15]

Yes, things could get messy.

Welcome! :)
