Is there a way of setting the kph To Mph in the lower part of the info screen on the mfd

See that box at the top of the page called "Search"....?

Nice attitude towards a new member. :notme:

OP - can be done via the cable/OBD port but not through maxidot Im afraid.

MFD not mdf, there are 20 pages relating to this subject if you do the search as 137699 suggested.I must agree with Yeti-Man and Aerofurb, not a nice way to treat a newish member to our forum.

The thing is, every web forum I've ever been to does have a search facility, and every internet user is used to using a search engine of some kind to find what they want on the web.  In fact a lot of people use Google as their only route in to the web, ignoring things like favourites/bookmarks (hence the proliferation of scam sites which pop up on Google searches for "EHIC renewal" or the like, and which charge the gormless an unnecessary fee for doing what the relevant Government department will do for free.)

So I think there is some justification for suggesting that people search before asking.  It's not as if it takes much effort to search - probably no more than it does to craft a clear & concise question.  Asking before searching does come over as being rather "I can't bothered, someone else can do it for me."  The etiquette should perhaps be to state that you have searched, but unsuccessfully, which is why you've resorted to asking.  Then people can either answer your question directly, or provide polite advice on how to search more effectively (eg searching for "MFD" rather than "Mdf").

So there's no need to post anything as we can all use the search facility. It would certainly be quiet around here if that happened all the time. Sometimes its worth asking as new members or older ones with newer experience will reply. And actually it probably wasn't the advice I took issue with... it was the way it was said. I deal with many people each day that don't know about forum search facilities even they do frequent them occasionally.

I agree, Yeti_Man, it would be quiete round here if we all used the search function.

Yes, some topics keep popping up, but we can all read the title and avoid it if you're bored with that subject.

Also, as said already, posting up threads gets new users talking to others and is a great way of breaking the ice and getting to know people.

This is a social forum and would hate for it to go quiete like most other forums due to muppets moaning instead of helping.

I was a new user once and by posting up threads that I have no doubt had been previously put up, helped getting to know user names gave me the ability to cross the Internet/real life bridge at Castle Combe and the like.

Agreed. The best communities talk.

'Nuff said, move on.

Said in a friendly tone. :giggle:

I find a far better way to help, is to answer it as a one liner, and then identify a suitable post on the matter, and show the link, and then say how you found it, using the search facility, so if they want to find more they can.

Now that would be far friendlier.

I must admit that on other similar forums I too get fed up of answering the same questions though. But with new members we need to have a bit more patience. May be a quick glance at the member information would help.

Thread title edited.

As has previously been said you need someone with VCDS to make the changes, there is a link in my signature to those on Briskoda who have it and are willing to help, PM someone local to you.
