a front seat in a pickup

Featured Replies

I hope i am in the right place with this post We shall see.

the thing is that my workplace owns a pair of 2001 skoda pickups that seem to be felicias. (just finding that out was a bother)

I was tasked with finding replacement parts for one of them but felicias and pickups based on them have become very few and far in between where i live and local parts shops ask me if i am serious when i mention this car to them.

and now the driver seat has collapsed and thus driving this car has become a pain in the butt, quite literally.

so my question is this:

Do you guys know uf there are any other cars than felicias that have seats that might fit as replacements ?

With many thanks for any and all suggestions

with a bit of work you can make most seats fit, in the uk they must slide to pass the mot. most of the small  VAG cars, polo golf and later models Skoda seats have been fitted with a bit of work

Sorted by price ascending:

1) Repair the seat. If it's the bottom frame that collapsed, it's an easy job for a welder. If it's the upholstery, I'm sure you'll find a local shop to tackle the job.

2) Parts from a scrapyard.

3) Order parts from Czech Republic.

Thanks guys... good to have a few clues to work with :)

The runners are pretty easy to work with. I stripped the mounts from some big 70s saab wing backs, drilled the frames through, and bolted them straight on to the stocks.

A bit ghetto, but its easily tidied up.
