Is it not like the old mark 4 golf where you can just swap the overlay and avoid any coding, that would in all honesty cost a fortune.

Cos id reckon everything would be the same size between the models so would fit. Might have to see if I can get a cheap one to take apart and have a play with.

That's what I was thinking, these cars have, to be brutally honest been "built on the cheap" so to speak so a lot of stuff is simply unplug and replug (I'm assuming so at least)

It won't display your mileage and other information and it will be immobilised too. It needs coding to the car so everything works [emoji6]

Okay so, is a Skoda dealer able to do this? Or does it HAVE to be VW as it's from a Up!? I have a feeling meadens will give me a generous staff discount as one or my employees used to work there and they still remember her ;)

I've just ordered the 2 removal tools for the job, wanted to get the exact ones to do a proper job

Of course they'll do it I'm sure. They've coded stuff for me many times [emoji106]

Now I've purchased the radio I need some advice, does anyone know how to code a radio/access the code set menu? I believe I can get the code from radio-code.co.uk but it looks like you need to activate it threw the stereo menu? Or is this done via VCDS?
