:no: I will literally be swapping the Citigo one for a Up! one, this way I will have a nice red lighting (I've never liked the green) and a piano black fascia with chrome surround trim, I've asked the seller if the lighting is red before buying it to be double safe, it might seem a "waste of money" but I want it, couldn't give a flying monkeys if its a Up! radio, it's my car at the end of the day

I doubt it, it's from a 2012 Up! although I never use the radio, use my iPod mainly

That's the one thing that bothers me with the citigo compared to the mii / up. We have green backlighting and really cheap/ messy looking clocks / dials. Grrr!

Never even crossed my mind to change it, but buying the headlight switch I didn't even realise was red has changed my mind

Backlightning is green, because it's a Škoda. I personally like it as it is. ;-)

I'm too impatient, does anyone know if the Take Up!'s interior radio and heater module has red lighting?

All the VW UPs will be.

The green backlighting I can live with (red IMHO is nicer), its the speedo and rev counter dials that I think, look cheaper on the citigo compared to the up and mii.

The dashpod is white dials on the Citigo so just all other Green lighting can be changed [emoji106]

Having said that I've never looked in an UP [emoji4]

Just make sure the radio comes with a code if it has one?

Model no. is a near match, a couple of different letters won't matter I hope

It's not s straight swap though. It needs the other cars key codes for the immobiliser and will need coding to the car afterwards which can only be done at a dealer [emoji57]

I know on the Octavia it's a straight forward swap providing you have the codes. I'd say about an hour.

Is it not like the old mark 4 golf where you can just swap the overlay and avoid any coding, that would in all honesty cost a fortune.

 

Cos id reckon everything would be the same size between the models so would fit. Might have to see if I can get a cheap one to take apart and have a play with.
