I have found a fl octavia that has the standard none maxidot clocks that look maxidot ish. I know the maxidot can go in fl cars but whilst I'd love them they are pretty pricey and tbh I only really want the fuel computer functions. Has anyone fitted these in a none fl, does anyone know what parts I would need from the donor car for the swap? Ta

do you want to put clocks from a facelift into a pre-facelift car

 

it is possible and i have done several newer style clocks in a mk5 golfs

 

you would need the cluster, adaptor loom and 2x transponders

Non Maxidot still has trip computer functions.

Hey Eddie. to be honest I just want a fuel computer but any additional functions would be great. Things like cruise control etc would be fab too but not necessary unless its a cheap upgrade.I have always used my fuel computer to adjust my driving style for economy. My current car only has the standard no computer clocks. Any step up from that would be fine, I just saw the none maxidot clocks and thought they looked nice but again my car is a "works van" mainly so the cheapest way possible is fine. How much would you charge to do it Eddie?
