air box blue silicone gasket - part number needed

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I am after the two blue rubber/silicone gaskets that sit inside the standard air box on a skoda fabia 1.4 16v elegance.

See below as an example...its the blue thing but there are two, a small and larger rectangle.

the seller below doesn't actually sell them or include in the service bundle so no idea why they are showing it.

Thanks!

It is a bit naughty showing the gasket seal but not actually including it in the service kit!  Why not reuse the one that is fitted currently. There will not be a part number for that gasket seal as it gets supplied with the filter element - if you buy from VAG.

The only reason that I can see for GSF not including it is that in the real world, that gasket seal normally does not need replacing, the VAG filter element tends to be MANN.

thanks mate...so I can only get new blue silicone bits if i buy a service kit from vw/skoda?

My ones have started to deteriorted in areas and doesn't sit well anymore in the grooves...the last time I had it fully serviced must have not have put back it place so its squashed/ripped.  Took me longer thean it should to get the new air filter panel in without everything falling out.  I just thought a replacement wouldn't be that expensive but just can't find it online.

Just don't want to be losing air!

Yes unless ECP sells the filter element complete with that seal, it should always come in the box the element comes in, well that is how the VAG filter comes.

If you bought that service kit from GSF "shop", why not go back and start to buy a filter element - but ask at the desk if the seal is also supplied - if not walk away and try either ECP or VAG dealer.
