So coming on to Sheffield Parkway this morning just after Park Square roundabout a red GTR caught my attention.

At the first set of lights he pulled up next to me and gave me a quick look to let me know that **** was about to go down. I knew I had no chance but I wasn't backing down.

As the lights go green we set off slowly waiting for the second set of lights to change, they do and my foot goes down to the floor. The torque pulls the Furby away, I'm doing well, the little 1.9 tdi standard Furby is doing well until the red short shifting GTR breezes past me containing a driver with the smuggest of faces. It's safe to say, I got a really good look at the back of his car.

Fair play to the guy though, he was up for a laugh and many supercar owners wouldn't give me or the fabia the time of day. I'm pretty sure he will be telling his mates how he blew a little yellow skoda away this morning on the parkway.

But, this isn't over. The fabia will get remapped, and we will meet again.

I had a similar experience with a Jag that pulled up along side me at a set of lights. Thought I'd see if I could surprise him. I succeeded for maybe forty yards or so, then I heard what can only be described as a gulping slurping vortex noise as the silver 'Supercharged' four litre jag sailed past me (all inside the speed limit, just). Still, I was billy big balls for the next few days.
