So my DRL fell out

Featured Replies

Swapping the cars round last night in the garage and as i backed the Civic out i noticed the DRL was out on the passenger side of the VRS.  It was too dark so i done the usual tap to see if it had  smashed or something but was all in one piece.  As it was dark and raining i wanted to wait till today to have a look.  I did search last night and saw a few members on here have had the actual light full out the back .

So after looking today it appears mine has done the same and the DRL is still actually working on the floor cover it seems, hence no bulb warning lights on.  So will book it in for warranty work tomorrow.

I am actually wondering if the misting has caused this as since i got the car both DRL's have misted on the inside. So i may push skoda to replace the drivers side too.

The first issue in 14k so not too bad.

so no damage as you can see, but no leds'

Very odd.   I have never heard of the sidelights falling out,  but plenty of broken ones and corroded connections.

Theres two on here as i found them in old threads last night,  Thats why i'm wondering if the misting up lens was an issue, water ingress and heat ( although they don;t get that hot ) breaking down the glue.

Waiting to see what Skoda say, but my guess is they will try to blame my HID kit or milltek exhaust......lol

They are not a sealed unit I've been in to see them before about it and that's what they told me. Mine was steaming up sometimes
