Please can someone help me with a Sat Nav Query?

 

I have a 62 plate Octavia VRS Blackline which is fitted with a Amundsen + system.

 

I would like to update the maps on the navigation system.

 

My version is the following:

 

Nav Part No 3AA919866

Nav Data Ver 0038

Navagtion data: data medium

EUR_W_0038

 

What is the latest version I can update to?

i have Nav Data Ver 0050, medium EUR_W_V4 and they are 2012 maps.

 

the latest will be v7 http://www.ebay.de/itm/111602671404

Unfortunately it's damn expensive to get the one-time only SD card to install.

 

Amundsen appears immune to hem hem cheaper methods.

Someone will be along to slap the above post. Owt hem hem will be frowned upon.

But do want to know if we can update the maps cos paying loads for it is not worthwhile.

One day (like years away) I'll end up with a cheap Tom Tom installed above the Amundsen. Bit stupid but cheaper.

The Amundsen + model can only be updated by a single use SD card from the dealers, at whatever price they choose to charge. Many clever people have tried and failed to reproduce maps by other means.

This update portal is for the new Amundsen in the Octavia III. The Amundsen +, the one with the three control knobs, doesn't come with free upgrades
