Anyone had any experience with the DTS Tuning Boxes?

 

I know there is another well known brand (TMC) with generally great reviews.

 

My reason for asking is a DTS tuning box for 1.2 Tsi seat Ibiza has come up for sale cheap! Im guessing it would fit my 14 plate 1.2 tsi rapid?

 

Any help would be great!

Is it the same age engine?

 

AFAIK the more recent 1.2TSi engines are more difficult to tune having a different engine managment system.

Although VAG use the same engines does each manafacturer use their own engine management on the ecu or at least tweak it to their own requirements? Or at least put their own stamp on it software speaking? Im not technically minded but my worry would be plugging the box in thats for seat, it sees skoda (although its the same ecu) and as far as its concerned its a different car completely.

Be great if it did work though! Pity you couldnt get hold of it first.

If you take a look on there web site they don't quote a tuning box for the rapid.

Give them a call or call them and ask them would be the best option here I think tbh
