Has anyone logged temps or noticed better results with wide mouth mod? I have a forge fmic.

tbh i think its just for a mean look

Doubles the surface area of cooler in direct air flow if you remove/modify crash bar too.

Must make a difference imo.

Was done on my car for track purposes

Funnily enough wasnt for air flow to intercooler it was because the rad was struggling to keep coolant temps down

very little difference between mine on an Airtec FMIC and against same setup with wide mouth

 

get rid of that Forge FMIC as they are crap i was getting 50deg inlet temps on a Hybrid at 1.8bar

 

moved to Airtec on same setup and it dropped 28deg at WOT

It may well help delay the onset of heatsoak under extreme conditions but it won't increase power. Is heatsoak such a problem that your power is fading?
