2011 Superb GL owner

Owner of a 2011 Superb Estate GL since, and owned it since 2012. Living in Sweden.

The GL is fantastic with low milage and great storage capacity.

Currently the back seat is occupied by child seats.

Current plans are to somehow replace the Bolero radio with a DAB, Navigation system. Hopefully it's possible to add a system with Android Auto since I'm a total Android junkie.

In a couple of years, when the children are older I'll have to find a way to fit some screens for movie-viewing.

I've been reading the forum for about 2-3 years, but this is my first post (really the second, the first was http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/348952-retrofit-columbus-superb-2011/)

Hi I am thinking of getting a Elrok as our first ev replacing or Karoo. Looking at the edition model 85. I wondered if there were any real world views from owner about their experience especially if the first ev owned. Secondly I have been offered an 82kw Elrok from a dealer in stock but another dealer has 84KW available in the next month or so from another. This confused me slightly as these numbers seem to be used interchangeably can anyone confirm provide any guidance/advice on the best opt

Neigbour with a Fabia Mk4 called me recently, his drivers door and the rear (right) passenger doors were partly open with what looked like a stainless steel rod jamming the two doors in their partly open/closed positions, to make a long story short, it was the door umbrella that apparently had shot out somehow or other and jammed the two doors, he had partially opened the back door to let his dog out I think and had let his own door partially open, or something like that. Hi, It happened twice now that I walked past my parked and locked Mk IV Octavia and I noticed that the infotainment system was on and the radio playing. Anyone had this before? Both times it was on a sunny day, so quite warm inside the car. Is there any way so that the infotainment system can only be switched on with a key present? Car is from Sep 2020 with 1941 software version. Thanks, Peter

Octy 2 1.4TSI ESTATE CAXA Quite uncertain where to enter this question. The keyfob#1 has started to cause serious problems with the car alarm system. So far keyfob#2 is working with no problem. Car alarm starting randomly and only disconnecting the battery helped. Yesterday the alarm kept sounding/flashing even when the engine was running - undrivable. Is there a home cure whereby I can remap/reset the key fob? My very helpful auto sparks is unable to help

Hello everyone I decided to update my 2014 Skoda Octavia to a newer age. First changed the MIB1 to MIB2, and then decided to add a rear view camera (there are other projects on the way like MFK1 to MFK2). I want to tell the story so someone else does not make the same mistakes I did. My Skoda never had a camera, so I bought one from a scrapyard, a 3V0827566N without the wiring harness, it scrapped with the body.
