oh yes, its a JVC XV N55

I found that on my JVC N55 player most on the steps to access the 'Service' menus are the same of N5 model(menu details are still unkown, as far as I know).

These are the step I found until now:

- plug the player while holding the |< and >| buttons on it to let the LCD display show current region setting ('REG 2' on my player).

- plug the player while holding 'stop' and 'play buttons on it; then

- press 'choice' on the remote, to loop through the following on the display: E0, all-lit, '17 26', CK, EP, while on the TV screen a 'Ver. 26' message is always shown';

- in CK (check) mode, pressing 'play' on remote shows 0000 on LCD, and a '00 00 00 00' message on TV;

- in EP (ExPert) mode, the open/close button works (those it mean it can accept a sort of 'service' CD/DVD?);

- still in EP mode, pressing 'menu' on remote shows a set of many 'init' data on TV.

Hope someone can get through...

bye
