I've got an 'old' orange simcard that I haven't used for a while... but it's got over

Your phone is set to only accept one sim card, as well as being network locked. Orange C/S should be able to sort you out though. The other alternative is to get a sim free handset that will take any card.

hmmm..... oh well, looks like I'll have to 'borrow' my mum's 3310 back off her then, cos it worked in that phone!

If you know someone with an old o2 phone they dont use, get that as IIRC they are all sim unlocked.

seems the sim unlock code was so obvious I didn't think that could possibly be it - it was 1111 :o

Mobiles are often SIM locked, i.e. locked to use by SIM cards from only one network, but I have never heard of them being locked to only one SIM card. I am not sure it is technically feasible is it - especially given that often the phone and Sim come in different packages.
