  • That's just it, the customer is paying for it. I'd rather they spent the time more constructively instead of filming the underside for 20 mins!

  • Our BMW garage does it too. Next they'll wash your car 'for free' as it'll be included in the £100ph+ service cost!

  • That's not personal data in the scope of the data protection act, and if you think that a garage noting down that your car stereo was tuned to five live is an invasion of privacy then your priorities

Or she?

I don't think I would chat a she up, but I'm getting to that age where I don't care any more :D

Just got our Kia back from its service and the dashcam (clearly signed, thanks to the experience of another member here, so they can't argue they didn't know about it) recorded them putting on the music we have on a USB stick for the baby when in the workshop. Maybe their normal radio station is that bad. I don't know, but, whatever :) It made me laugh.

They did a lot of work on it, including changing the coolant and brake fluid, which weren't charged separately, but they did add a few quid for screenwash. Which I consider odd as I'd filled it the evening before and it actually came back with less of than it went with, as they tested the spray and wipers. So I will be having a word. *sigh*
