SKODA YETI 2011 4WD 2.0 TDI TMBLC75L6B6047470 Changing the Steering Wheel Control Module

Featured Replies

Hi

I'm from Norway , so sorry for bad language!

I have this car;SKODA YETI 2011 4WD 2.0 TDI TMBLC75L6B6047470.

The Steering Wheel Control Module is broken.

No communication with radio, blue tooth and fault indication Air bag.
A mechanic has looked at this and concluded that this part needs to be replaced.

Having seen around the Web, I have come to this part number.
5K0-953-569-H or 5K0-953-569-AL.

Is there anyone here who knows if I can use one of these?

After installing the new part which codes must I change to get the proper function?

Being happy if someone can help!

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum! :dull:

Will the 5K0953569AL fit my car TMBLC75L6B6047470 ?

Do I post in the wrong forum?

This forum is fine for your query. I think it might be helpful if you could let us know the part number of the original module.

Solved.

The new part had the same partnumber as the old one.

The "new" part was a used one from a Audi.

I saved the old data and entered it in to th new one.

I took some pictures:

Old thread revival, but seemed the most relevant...

I'm helping a friend who has the same issue on here 2011 Yeti - no horn or MFSW functionality and airbag dash warning and fault registered in the ECU.  ECU scan reveals that there is no communication with the steering wheel module, so I presume it is dead.  I can't, therefore, read the part number and revision from the diagnostics.

The question is, do we need to replace the part with the same revision, or will any revision do?  Are there mid- / highline versions, so I would need to use the right one?  We intend to find a cheaper/used part to replace, rather than spending £250+ on a new part.  I can do the fitting.

What coding, if any, needs to be done on once the replacement is fitted?

Many thanks.
