What's alternator amps output 2005 Fabia VRS

Featured Replies

Trying to find out what alternator output amperage my car has fitted, is there  number or something stamped on it?

Thanks members in advance..

Pretty sure there is a sticker on them, when I replaced mine I'm sure it was 95amp iirc.

If it has a VAG part number on it, you should be able to identify which unit it is from this list. But if you find that part number, I expect you'll also find a big 70A, 90A or 120A written near where you see the VAG part number, so you may not have to bother.

If you have a cooperative parts man at your local dealership, you can get a full pdf/printout of all the car data, based on VIN, which will tell you all of such details for your unique car. There is a small subset of this information on the sticker in the front of the service book, and boot floor, but I don't think it includes the alternator code. For example, on my Polo, the full car data includes the line "8GD    Alternator 90A".
