I'm back

Featured Replies

Evening chaps well after 15 months with the mk3 Octavia Tdi VRS I have part chopped it in for a gorgeous black Superb 170 Elegance with loads and loads of options when I get home I shall pop the obligatory photo up.

Glad to be back in a Superb the VRS was a complete let down. Fuel consumption was rubbish as was the build and ride quality or as my eighteen year old son points out I might be getting on a bit and a sporty ride just is not for me.

Great to be back on here just need to find someone close to the in-laws who can help out doing a bit of coding and get some of the hidden gems unlocked.

Welcome back Sir.

Are you going to tell us about the loads and loads of extras and what you are getting unlocked, as well as the photos?

Well just driven 200 odd miles up from my friends in Romney Marsh to the in laws in Nottingham, the traffic and weather was absolutely shocking basically queued all the way up the M1 till junction 19 then free flowing traffic till we came off at junction 26. As for the car absolutely belting in comparison to the VRS super quite and comfy kids stretched out in the back warming their bums. Fuel consumption probably better than the VRS already ( really disappointed with that car).

Right the important bits for you (Stupotpat) the car is black magic, with heated nozzles, front screen and rear seats, pano roof, sunset glass (which seems darker than the same glass on the VRS),power boot, sound system upgrade, extra side airbags, spare wheel and tool kit, warranty extension. Plus some other bits and bobs that escape me. It is actually SWMBO's car I just will be washing, cleaning and fuelling it.

As for getting stuff unlocked I reckon HHC,XDS and near side mirror dip for starters.

Really glad to be back in a Superb even if it's the wife's, just need to keep an eye out now for a used 3.6 estate for me as it will be cheaper to run than a big SUV 4x4 wagon well that's how I'm justifiying it to myself.

Have a super Easter break all.
