Has anyone else noticed we are discussing this between ourselves and no sign of the OP?

Maybe the OP is out for a test drive, frantically trying to make his mind up  :D  :D

If I had the money, I would take the haldex/performance upgrade rumoured for £10k, buy an ex demo VRS TSI with all the toys, drop it off at APR for tuning and have the all important space in the back of the car (not just the boot if comparing to the Golf R estate) and still probably spend less than a new Golf R estate with all the toys would cost,..

Each to their own I guess,..

Haha that would also work. A golf r estate would give me the boot space I need in a quick off the shelf package but a vrs with that gear would be brilliant.
