Had some work done today on the Boxster

Featured Replies

Took the Boxster over to essential styling in Hemel Hempstead today and the car underwent a transformation. Basically she now sports the later spec lights from the 2003 model year, which have clear lenses. A small amber lens is recessed in the headlight, but isnt really noticeable. Just need to get some of those silver coloured flashing amber indicator bulbs for the rear because you can see the bulb through the clear.

what a car

Do you know if your front bulbs have straight or offset pins?

I bought a set of straight pins in error for the pick up which your more than welcome to have.

Not really sure, the headlights and rearlights all came complete with bulbs already fitted. The unit comes as one assembly, remove it from car and plug in the new one. Not even any wires to disconnect as they just push in and make contact with a multiplug at the back of the wing.

Tart! ;)

Need to update your avatar!

new lights look great  subtle but very good upgrade :)

They certainly do make the car look much fresher, a must mod. Get a private plate and nobody will know its not newer than it really is!

Looks great.......Orange lenses are a bit naff looking, but they still put them on some new cars now! :banghead:

Looks very good Manny,

mines now sporting some rather fetching Armco scratches on the front and rear bumpers after an incident at the Ring last weekend!!!!!

and a 850 Euro bill!!!!

i was very lucky!!!!!!

Looks good and as already said it's very subtle. I take it the upgrade didn't break the bank (so to speak). Good thing you didn't go for clear lenses on the back too or you couldn't tell which way the car was pointing. Only joking, I just had to get that one in.

It's amazing what a difference just changing the lights make to a car! When I ditched the Yellow indicators and side repeaters off my little Polo GT it took about 5 years off the car!

Looking good, I'm jealous and want one :)

Nice, didn't really notice until you posted the before pictures. Excellent professional look now.

Ross, if you have straight pins - file one of them off to get the bulb to fit.

I did this with a pair of phillips silver indicator bulbs on my mates focus.

Powerbulbs gave me the tip.

How about a "i crashed my porsche at the ring and lived" thread then. I for one would like to hear of your experience.

Manny, the car looks great now. Very subtle mod, but has changed the look and freshened it up.
