Green Brake Caliper Paint

Featured Replies

I know this has been discussed numerous times on the forum but I thought I'd just post some pictures up of my paint order which arrived today which should be a match to the skoda OEM green used on brake calipers.

I'll post up picks of how good it looks when I get round to slapping some on.

It was £20.52 for 500ml delivered so not exactly a cheap option but not bad if it turns out to do a good job I guess. I got it through a link which I found on this forum so I believe it may have been used before but there wasn't much other info on it.

I spotted a tin of Hammerite smooth green spray in my local motor factors today, was surprised seeing it still on the shelves.

That is what I was looking for to be honest but couldn't find any. Would have no doubt been cheaper. Did you buy it? Only colour I could find in hammerite smooth was the buckingham green which is a bit dark for my liking.

I ordered a tin of that on Friday. From what I've read on here Pantone 348 is the correct colour match for Skoda Mint(z) Green. Like you I found them from this thread: http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/301514-green-brake-caliper-paint-pantone-348/

The rear callipers are made from Aluminium so you will need an etch primer before you paint them. The carriers and Fronts are Steel so no real need to do them. So I ordered a tin of primer at the same time. Total cost was about £30.
