Quick Detailer Advice Please

Featured Replies

Hi all.

Keeping my '13 Meteor Grey Octy fairly clean is something I enjoy but I must admit not going to the levels that some of you boys do.

Simple regime, two bucket wash, dry and then, when needed, Poorboys White Diamond followed by Poorboys EXP.

I think I should be looking for a quick Detailer and was considering Poorboys QD+

Is that ok or can anyone recommend anything better?

The shine is beginning to come up now and I would like to keep it that way :)

Many thanks.

I've never found an issue with Poorboys QD+ :)

Me neither

A good combination with EXP too

Could give Sonax Brilliant Shine Detailer (BSD) a go. I love it and it gets good reviews.

+1  easy on, easy off

Poorboys QD+ is a great product and smells superb.

As an alternative - i would highly recommend Optimum Instant detailer spray - my current favourite!

Nothing wrong with poorboys but you could try Hellshine rapid revenge it has great durability and a very glossy finish.

My favourite for shine has to be FK #425 it's amazing and so slick, and you get a massive bottle for a small price.

Bsd is also great as everyone knows but it's more about its sealant beading qualitys that it's loved for.

Clean Your Car (CYC) do BSD in 5L at a great price.... plus discount code  ;)

They also stock FK-425 as well.

Otherwise - ebay has a few sellers doing these products.

Perfectly Cleaned on eBay are very good.

Checking the CYC price again actually....

the FK425 looks a bit of a bargain for 32oz bottle @ £11.95 plus 5% discount to apply

Let us know what you decide and how you go ;)

Good find, FK #425 is awesome, paint feels very slick after as well. Been using it for years

Guess what size I have in my garage! I use it quite a bit on SWMBO's Seat as I can't be bothered to do a full detail on it and it brings it up a treat.

Ok, will give it a shot.

I'm keeping it fairly shiny (for someone who doesn't clean it as often as you guys). :)

Just want to try and improve on it.

I bought it on the recommendation of ChrisRs and I have to say I have found it both easy to use and it produces excellent results.  Well worth a purchase.

Makes me quite nostalgic!
