Folding rear seats question

Featured Replies

Hello

Just a quick question. Clearing some rubbish out of the loft this weekend, and so needed to drop the seats in the back of the Spaceback to load it up for a run to the tip.

Does the base of the rear bench lift up, to allow the backs to fold down a bit more? Can't seem to get the base to move at all.

Cheers

Chris

I tried this in the loan Spaceback Chris I couldn't move it. There's no hinges on the front of it. Only the uprights dropped down.

I suspected as much - it would seem a legacy of the car's saloon origins that wasnt altered when the car was turned into a hatchback.

There are seats in the back?

And they fold???

This car is more versatile than I need :)

I should have bought a 2 seater.

I read ages ago somewhere on here that there is a way to lift the bottom of the seats forward but that you have to be very careful you don't tear the fabric. It might be in this section of the forum but it was a long time ago.
