  • This is a report in the Telegraph relating to a story from the Sunday Express, based on someone overhearing a conversation between Andy Wilman and Jay Kay. In other words it's a slow news day.

  • Snore.....   I've tried watching that Classic Car Show - the delivery is a cure for insomnia.

  • Penny Mallory please.    No idea about a TV presenter though.

Could easily review cars AND do stunts, challenges etc.  Topgear just became about silly challenges.

dont know if its been mentioned but someone said Guy Martin, but after his 180 claim in a 40 i can't see it. :)

Beeb have leaked who they would like, no surprises really - Jodie Kidd, Phillip Glennister, and Guy Martin.

This isn't who they've got, at the mo anyway.

TBH I don't like that line up, even Guy Martin. I really like his programs but I'm not sure he'd work on TG or any other studio show.

And if he did TG he probably wouldn't do the other stuff anymore which has been so good.

It does sound very much like a made up guess. None of them strike me as very good choices.

Ok "Poshpants", fire up the Quattro!!

Don't give them ideas. I think you've just mapped out the new opening credits.

No doubt with ol' Lambchops chasing them on a Ducati.

I thought Tom Ford, form a previous incarnation of Fifth Gear, was OK. I think if the new BBC show is to stand a chance it will have to be completely different to TG.

Might go back to "old" TG and be up against Fifth Gear, which will probably be renamed Sixth Gear or a box of neutrals if you drive a DSG like me today...
