Got it nice and cheap, it works fine apart from the door open indicator as seen in the photo. It seems to mix up the signals from the car and shows nearside door open when offside is open and vice versa. It's not the car sending the wrong signal as the maxidot display shows the correct door. It has no name on it or within menus so would like to ID it to possibly find a firmware update or resolve the issue somehow. Not a big issue i guess, just a bit annoying. thanks

I did see a witson that looked similar but the menu's looked different. I will look at a few and see what I can find out. thanks for the reply

I seem to PM poor Mike a lot, he is always helpful but I fear I may well be getting to be a pain. All the Witsons I can see seem to have the new columbus style start of skoda screen. mine just has a small skoda badge. Am hoping this is just a firmware update in which case I'd love to get my hands on that.  It comes with windows CE 6 and Igo primo navigation on a Sony SD card which I am doubting is genuine. I'd like to get something more up to date if possible.

Does it just think the car is LHD? Maybe it doesn't recognise left or right but recognises driver or passenger door. Possible setting somewhere?

This was my initial thought to but the language is set to UK and I can' see a LHD option. It is a cheap one I know and I know mikes thoughts as they are similar to my own in many respects. That said it was £75 and came with external mic, reversing cam etc so was a bargain and will do until i can afford the columbus.

It has its bugs and flaws, the maxidot audio menu is unusable as you can't exit once in there. It does display track numbers and source though and radio data. No nav display in maxidot, not sure if that's a pretty fl thing though. I turned nav and phone on in can gateway and they show menus and stalk can scroll through Aux, sd card, radio and phone but no nav menu or selection on the head unit. I can't turn digital radio off and lose the audio menu as I then lose back lighting too. Presumably due to canbus lighting being shut off too. Will play again tomorrow see how I get on.
