So I just bought a vrs with spider alloys and wheel spacers. 15mm at the back and 13mm at the front. I want to get some locking bolts for it. Will 40mm be ok for the length.

 

I've taken a bolt out of each and measured and fronts are just over 39mm and backs are 43mm but obviously I don't want to buy 2 sets of lockers.

 

Will 3mm short be ok fro the rear on one bolt??

Mk1 is it? Add the spacer width to your standard bolt length give or take a mm, which for example on mk1 Octy is 28mm iirc, so a 13mm spacer is fine with a 40mm bolt.

There's a place on ebay that sells extended bolts with staggered lockers, same key. Unfortunately I don't have a link off the phone, but if you message the sellers see what they can do. Staggered lockers is what you need, I wouldn't be happy knowing one is 3mm short even though it may well be fine.
