..Does it take from the car landing for it to get to the dealer? The dealer has told me the car landed in the UK on the 1st April, still no sign of it yet.

 

I signed finance paperwork on the 28th March, so everything has gone ahead and have had details of when payments will come out but still no sign of when the car will arrive, apparently there are delays with Eddie Stobart, but its been over two weeks is that normal?

It might be a lot quicker if you say who the Dealership is ,

because sometime miracles occur when Skoda Customer Services see yet another Customer is getting 

poor service from a Skoda Dealewrship.

I ordered from the Birchwood Skoda Group In Worthing. 

 

Ordered a 1.2 TSI SE Race Blue Fabia. 

 

The sales staff have been reasonably helpful, I have been in contact with them lots but its the first time I have purchased a new car so I am not sure if this is normal or not as it seems very frustrating. I gave them my P/X car on the the 28th as they told me it would be with them within a few days! 

Do you have a Courtesy car from them?

 

Nice they might be, but time to call in to speak with or to phone the Dealer Principal.

 

If no car is available,

they can give you one of the Skoda UK Owned Demonstrators they are using as a perk of the job.

Is it normal for the transport company to take this long?

There are Stories of Delays, but i doubt Eddie Stobart would accept it is an issue with them.

 

You have been very patient and the Dealership Staff are taking the Pith in my Opinion.

Especially if you are left with no car.

 

Maybe best get a call in to the Dealer Principal rather than the Senior Sales Manager.

I think that by now Skoda UK HQ might be aware of what is going on.

 

If you have no luck with a Hand Over Appointment before Friday, maybe call Skoda UK Customer Services.

I have never had to give them my PX before I collect the new car? that seems very strange

 

1 - 2 weeks from landing in UK to hand over depending on how busy the port, stobarts and dealership is (not to bad at moment, I see them a lot) more Peugeot / citroens coming through kent than VAG at moment

I opt'd to give my p/x when I signed the paperwork as I was under the impression the car would be with me within a few days a week at most. 

Its been almost 3 weeks now. 

 

I am told the stobart lorry should be delivering my car today, this afternoon.

Good news!! 

 

Its at the dealer! Just waiting for a date/time for collection after they PDI and GuardX it.
