That's a very heavy, hard to use rotary, IMO don't do it. Get a Kestrel DAS 6

Good decision IMO, enjoy :)

Its not a beginners machine..a heavy rotary with poor polishing accessories

I would steer clear and look to buy a DA instead

If you have no knowledge of them, then a basic Dual Action Polisher (DA) is great to start with.....

Look here:

IDEAL STARTER DA

Having started with a cheap rotary myself I would say you will be far better off with a DA as its far easier to get a good finish without leaving buffer trails.

I went to the scrapyard and bought a bonnet off them for £2 that had one corner crunched. This was perfect for learning the hard way with a rotary but a DA is much easier to use especially as you can get them in kit form with pads and polishes

Spot on Jules

So many make that mistake and find it doesnt meet their needs

A DA is far far safer for a beginner

After doing my first car with the rotary and covering it in buffer trails I was mortified! Thankfully they came out when I managed to get the hang of it but it nearly put me off machines for ever.

The DA is a brilliant machine just stay away from the useless orbital buffers that Halfords etc sell
