Suspension question PLEASE HELP

Featured Replies

Hi there,

I wonder if somebody can help because so far my local dealership and the customer service assistant at SUK haven't been able to give me the answer.

I am currently looking to purchase Eibach Pro-Kit Springs for my 2014 Octavia vRS diesel estate and at the point of attempting to order them was asked by the sales person what type of rear suspension set up is on the car at present as this affects which springs to go for. The car is UK spec so and was built in June 2014 so I am guessing they are all the same.

Do you know whether my car will have a multilink system or torsion bar system fitted.

Before I go and order the wrong thing please could somebody on here advise me.

The Eibach springs have a product code of E10-15-021-06-22.

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Mutlilink for vRS

The vRS has multilink (so it says in the brochure).

Have a look underneath.  It's quite obvious when you see it.

Handy thread, I have been considering the same thing a lot recently... :)

I asked the very same question, and the answer IS........Multi-link.

I bought the springs from PBT-Racing in Germany via e-bay, £96 plus £20 postage, cheaper than anywhere in the UK.

I personally think they provide the ride height the VRS should have from the factory, that and a greater offset on the rear wheels to bring them out more to fill the arches.

I and a few other VRS owners have gone down the route of fitting 8-10mm spacers to the rear wheels for that very reason.
