Felicia diesel exhaust

Featured Replies

hi and sorry not been here for months :rolleyes:

anyway wanted to share;

1996 GLXD dodgy exhaust (prob with early models) never got modified.

it's first support was just behind the rear wheel (estate) so you can imagine the movement ?? 6'??

flexi-joint just could not flex enough. it FAILED ITS CT (french MOT) dread..... so off to VW who had never seen a felicia with this system .... on the ramps, a new felicia front part wont fit the drive shaft is in the way where two supports should be.

much digging and scratching and then................ some guy came into the showroom and asked when I put the diesel engine in. "like NEVER it left skoda like that" (france never had the early diesel so they really never seen this prob b4.) So i get out the old Italian reg doccument and they play on the PC. guess what???? ITS A POLO, the engine and every thing and every number on the car says POLO, even the code on the italian form when looked up says VW POLO FELICIA :confused: :confused:

So out comes the guy with a polo exhaust........... 3" too short LOLOL

So from a simple option the only way to get the car through the MOT was a VW special.......half and half front section welded up. My CAT lobed onto a Polo downpipe/felexi joint. However gota say the car is a gutless dog now and its ****ed my record 1000kms to a tank down to 650 ;( worse the sodding thing really vibrates up the pedals now. Kinda miss the old tractor noise now, she was way faster and economical that way.

however still going strong ..... ish.

and in another thread yes sunroofs..... silicone sealer job done, and as its a useless glass panel to bake your bollies off in the sun, i sprayed it out black. so no more burnt bits and no more soggy seatbelt either :)

My head hurts now.
