Ok, anyone managed to acquire an update disc for the unit, needs to be by disc! I've looked but cannot find one if you have details pm me please!

Apparently by sd card which is then locked electronically to the unit, are there any work rounds, sd card suggestions(there are lots out there but do not know which to choose, -- don't want to f**k up the unit!)

I just want French maps in depth, my car was UK supplied with in depth UK maps, which here in France does not cover small towns etc -- don't you just luv it!

The only maps updates for the Amundsen + unit are from (as you say) a single use SD card. Many very clever people have tried to crack this issue and failed.

'fraid so. Just make sure if you buy one from the likes of Ebay that it is brand new and not one that someone has activated.

I have a mio, but I tend to leave it in the Marlin,(can't carry models easily in that hence my desire to update the yeti piece so i can find sports halls etc in 'strange' towns!
