Hi all,

I have for sale; my Octavia vRS.

Bodywork:

The car is finished in red with black detailing to the: front grill; and wing-mirrors. The bodywork is in good condition; although there are stone chips on the bonnet and a couple of car park 'dinks' (too small to see in photos). There is a small dent in the boot above the vRS badge which I have managed to take a picture of; the paint is unbroken.

There is also a small amount of paint missing on the corner edge of the door next to the drivers side window; where it would appear a previous owner may have scraped it against something. Again pictures of this have been taken; it must be noted that it has not rusted or oxidised in the 2 years I've owned the car; so I've never been bothered by it.

The side skirts have recently been repainted at a cost of £512 (01/09/14). If you frequent the Octavia II section you'll see a thread outlining a common issue with this make of car; whereby the stone chip is too low down the side skirt when painted at the factory. This can cause rust on the sills if left untreated as stone chips oxidise. As I was planning to keep the car long-term I had both side skirts painted; and the stone chip level raised to the top of the side skirt, to prevent stone chips from being a problem again.

The car is also fitted with a Superskoda lower honeycomb grill; in a similar style to the FL Octavia vRS.

Alloy Wheels and Tyres:

Genuine Audi Ultra Sport 18 x 8J alloy wheels recently refurbished in anthracite by the wheel specialist at a cost of £260; no marks on them. The tyres are Michelin Pilot Sport 3 on the rear (about 4.5mm tread left) and Falken 453 tyres on the front with around 6mm tread left. The Falken's were fitted to the rear whilst the infamous 'saw tooth' issue was being resolved on my car (didn't want to wear down expensive tyres).

Suspension:

The car is fitted with Bilstein B8 dampers all round (after a MOT diagnosed a leaking damper) with H&R -50mm lowering springs fitted. The bump stops and top mounts were also refreshed with genuine Skoda parts at the same time so there are no worries with the suspension for many years. The car is also fitted with Audi S3 Lower Control Arms and bushes; which were sourced through VAG specialist TPS.

Brakes:

Standard brake set-up; with EBC front grooved discs and 'Yellow Stuff' pads; the rear discs have not been changed.

Engine and Tuning:

The car is Shark stage 2 (280 BHP / 330 Lb/Ft torque); with the following engine parts fitted:

- 3" Pipewerx 200 cell sports cat downpipe
- Milltek resonated catalytic converter back exhaust
- THS FR3 engine torque mount
- Audi S3 Intercooler
- Audi S3 Intercooler hoses
- Audi S3 Revision 'D' Diverter Valve
- Neuspeed Turbo Outlet Pipe
- Neuspeed Intercooler Charge Pipe
- Neuspeed P-Flo Intake
- Shark stage 2 software
- Forge Silicone Throttle Body Hose

On top of the tuning parts it has also had:

- Revision N PCV
- N80 Valve
- MAF Sensor
- New radiator and coolant
- Water pump
- Cambelt
- New auxiliary belt
- NGK Iridium Spark Plugs #7
- Audi R8 Coil Packs and harness
- ECS Tuning aluminium oil filter housing
- ECS Tuning magnetic sump plug bolt
- New battery

The car has also had regular oil and filter changes typically every 6000 miles or 6 months whichever comes first.

Transmission:

Factory fitted 6 speed gearbox; with a Forge short shift kit fitted. Recently had the gearbox oil flushed and changed with Fuchs Sintofluid, the gear change is nice and slick yet tight.

Only 800 miles ago the car had a brand new LUK Dual Mass Flywheel and Helix Organic clutch fitted due to clutch slip after the Shark stage 2 software was applied.

Interior:

Standard vRS half leather and alcantara interior; in good condition with no rips or tears on the seats. I have cleaned and conditioned the seats regularly; and the alcantara is cleaned and maintained. There is a slight sag in the drivers door card by the window; as it appears the previous owner leant with their arm on the window ledge whilst driving!

The interior specification is as follows:

- Three dial mixer ventilation system (with aluminium knobs).
- Trip computer; non-Maxidot version.
- Air conditioning; which could do with being re-gassed.
- Pioneer double din touch screen head unit.
- New vRS car mats from Skoda

Lighting:

- 4300k London Colour HID's; coded correctly to the car.

- VCDS coded DRL's - front fog lights run at 60% brightness during the day and switch off automatically when the headlights are switched on. Fog lights still function at 100% brightness when turned on by the switch.

VCDS Coding:

The car has had the following coding done:

- Auto-lock above 10 MPH
- North America DRL setting
- HID coding
- Dual Rear Fog Lights

Service History:

The car has FSH from garages up to 94,296 miles. All servicing during my ownership has been done by a friend who runs a garage; this means the book hasn't been stamped, but I have all receipts and proof of evidence that the car has been serviced regularly. I have also filled out the service book with work completed, dates and next service due times. All service work has receipts to cross-reference.

The car is just short of 124,000 miles with the following history:

Hi donovan,

Thanks for the compliment; I'll be sad to see it go! I really thought I was going to hang on to this for a good few years and had recently enquired about stage 3 with Shark.

I've now bought an E39 525i SE; my girlfriend and I are saving up for a house; so this has had to be sacrificed to help us buy our first home. The 525i is in very good condition; and of course I'll ensure the new car is well maintained.

Having looked at the market and spoken with another forum member; I think I may have priced this a bit high to start with. I can find cars with 100,000+ miles for sale on Autotrader and eBay classifieds with none of the work mine has had done for in the region of £4350. I have edited the price to make it more competitive.

Thanks for the compliments.

It's had more spent on it than what I'm selling it for; but modifications don't really add value as such. Items such as new clutches, suspension, exhaust, catalytic converter etc should make it more desirable, as these are general wear and tear items.

Putting a new MOT on it next week.
