Bolero

Hi all, having now had my Fabia for a few days and read the manual a few times.

It says that you can receive texts and send them through the radio, but i cannot see this option on mine am I missing something.

I have iPhone 6 connected via Bluetooth.

Also in the manual it says you can enable the doors to lock once moving but this is not an option on the actual radio.

Thanks

The anti-hijack can be enabled by the dealer I believe. Pretty sure a few people have done it on here.

Re the doors, your dealer can enable that.

Snap!

Ok thanks will get on to them about that.

Any idea on messages through the bolero?

you need to pair via bluetooth then it should allow you to do this, works on my note 4 but the text reply is next to pointless as it's rather slow

Maybe I'll unpair and try pairing again.

I can do calls and music via Bluetooth but no messaging. I doubt I'll use it but it's in the manual and want to see it working.

As you are having problems with texting ,dare I ask if the mirrorlink works as I have iphone 6 as well .I'm glad to here calls and music are working sorry to hijack your post .[emoji4]

Is it not in the car settings through the bolero radio like on the Octavia. Down as auto locking and unlocking?

Mirrorlink is for android only so doesn't work with iPhones anyway. Bluetooth phone and music seems ok so far.

No I went through the manual where it says it is under locking and the only option to change is to open all doors on single unlock.

I'll have to speak to the garage.

No. The manual says it is but it isn't.

Perhaps I should cancel my car order then as those nice people at Skoda customer services said mirrorlink is for iPhone and wait for it..... Smart gate is for android [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23].only joking about cancelling order . Glad Bluetooth and music are ok on it . Thanks

Smart gate is both android and iOS and is a car monitoring app which gives car info like fuel economy etc.

Mirrorlink is just for mirroring android.

No iOS mirroring available yet which is a shame.

Yes it's a shame. I just could not believe what customer service said lol.

Whats the point ??? That information, afak, are given on the dash AND probably also on the bolero screen?

If needed.
