Scout 184 DSG, MY16 ordered. Excited!

Featured Replies

I took the plunge and ordered my next "keeper" car.

My Mk1 VRS is 12 years old now, so I have proved to myself that I'm not a fool to buy new.

I have been pondering a replacement for a while. Looking for something that won't disappoint after the VRS - but my priorities have changed so the new VRS wasn't for me. Point and Squirt 4WD on greasy roads will still be fun enough I expect.

I went a bit crazy on the options, but a combination of wife-proofing it and working on the pence-per-hour or cost per year of each of the "nice to have" options took the sting out of it.

Will be Black Magic - I may darken the wheels at the first tyre change, unless the silver growns on me.

Week 23 build. Deivery ~start July is the optimistic estimate according to ordering computer.

In a couple of months the Mk1 VRS will be for sale - 116k miles, Black Magic, never remapped, Gloss black Spider wheels May well bundle Alpine headunit and 12" sub in alpine box too. Obviously I'll advertise later - just a heads-up.

Nice.. We've got 150bhp version on order to complement the vrs , hence are sold on the oct est mk3, hence I'm sure you'll love it

What options did you go for?

Well done, more than a touch envious.

I went a little crazy on the options...

Partly to wife-proof it, partly as its a keeper.

Black Magic
Front assist and ACC
Front/rear parking sensors
Xenons
LED rears
VBF

Canton
Winter pack
Spacesaver

Frustratingly, I failed to order it in time for 2 500mile round-trips to Cornwall, on the upside, it should be MY16.

Enjoy.

The ACC is just brilliant for lazy driving.

We are about to order a scout 150.

It is not clear from the brochure, but does it come with silver roof rails and a retractable parcel shelf as standard??

Cheers
