goodyear eagle nct5?

Featured Replies

any good as i just went to get eagle f1's and the monkeys put on the wrong ones, only noticed when they had all 4 on, and i didnt want to argue with them all...

Completely different type of tyre.

Just had a pair put on my Celica...not bad...but I doubt they would grip as good as the F1s in the Summer but probably better in the wet.

I assume they will also last longer as I doubt they are a softer rubber compound like the F1s.

IMHO if you've paid for F1s you should have got them....how much did you get charged BTW?

they were both the same price hence I didnt notice until I saw the ugly tyre tread! 70 quid a corner.

If I didn't get what I asked for I'd insist they put the correct tyres on.

Goodyear Eagle F1's are good but Goodyear is generally a good tyre manufacturer so I wouldn't be too upset...if you saw some of the things I got talked into when I was tuning my old car (and wasted loads of money on...) and were a waste of time well...you wouldn't know whether to laugh or cry!!! You live and learn just don't go to them again.

actually they handle ok, better than the old pirelli 6000s that were on there, a bit of slide in the wet around roundabouts, but at least its controlable and theres nothing wrong with a bit of 4 wheel drift!

If your receipt say F1s I'd go back and get them changed.

Depends it you want performance over longevity I guess.

ok, really put the tyres to the test last night when it was cold and damp around some empty roundabouts. Not that impressed. suffered terribly from lift off UNDERsteer!!! crazy! anyone else notice this habit with other tyres?

plus the fact that the front pillar blocks out the actual position of the front of the car in relation to the kerb, not a pleasant experience!!
