Is there anyone that can tell me is there any oil problems with a 2009 skoda superb 2.0 tdi engine code BMP. Oil light comes on and goes of dosent stay on for long car still starts and drives :s

Are you saying that the oil light comes on, you top up the oil and the oil light comes on again not long after?

 

What mileage has the car got on it?

Service history?

Fixed or variable service intervals?

 

I'm not aware of any documented issues of excessive oil consumption.

Its a friends car was an ex taxi 09 plate with 168000 on the clock services are there but there are alot pf miles between services i.e 30000 has recently had an oil pump but fault still there was just wondering if it was mayby faulty or cheap pump or possibly faulty sensor

So the car isn't using oil, you aren't having to top up the oil?

 

There are two lights, one for the oil level and one for the oil pressure, which one is it?
