I am getting a  2012 fabia se done 5000 miles is this chain or cambelt  if it is cambelt as it is a second car unlikely to have done more 8000 miles when a cambelt is required by as stated  Skoda uk at four years would it be necessary to have a new cambelt fitted such a low mileage.?

Had a 07 fabia before nice to back in the fabia clan.

I viewed it hoping someone answered because I'm curious. But looking at the previous post says it's a chain.

Ive only just woken up and had my breakfast. Despite finding the OP's thinking we are a 24hr free Skoda consultancy, I will answer his questions.

The htp has a camchain. Provided oil changes are done on time, the camchain should last the life of engine.
