Front assist "recalibration"

Featured Replies

Apparently my car needs this but my Skoda dealer doesn't have the wherewithal to carry it out.

What does it mean?

The special tools and test equipment required to carry this out are expensive, and not all dealers have it. If you read any of the other VW Audi Group forums you will see this as a common issue. Generally the larger VW or Audi franchises in towns / cities have the kit. Might be worth a call to Skoda UK or Skoda Assist to find out where you can take it. Until then you can switch the FA off.

I had this.

My dealer was very open with me about it.

He said this is a new thing for Skodas and they haven't got the facility in-house yet. He said there is a fairly high outlay for the necessary equipment plus the training course for two mechanics.

In the interim, he pointed me in the direction of my nearest Audi Garage about five miles away.

which reminds me, I must get it sorted...

My L&K is just 4 months old so do I need to have this "Recalibration"

I haven't had any communication from my dealer.

Bismark needs it because somehow the sensor has been knocked out of alignment, I blame it on her indoors...
