Estate Net partition?

Featured Replies

whilst awaiting my Octavia Estate to be built, I have been looking at the downloadable manual from the Skoda site, and I'm a little confused (easily done)

I take it that thus manual is for all markets, but it talks about a Net partition which can be raised between the boot and the back seats (Page 112)

I have not seen mention if thus partition, nor seen it as either an option or a accessory.

Is it standard, or does anyone I have it?

Thanks

Comes up on the configurator on the Irish site at least as a €182(£130) option.

The net partition is not available in the UK, and is not available as an aftermarket accessory either as it requires alterations to the headliner and mounting points in the roof in 4 positions.  It was available as an option in Germany, but even whilst living there I was unable to purchase all of the items required to retrofit.  It is annoying that it is not available as it is a standard feature on Volvos, Ford Focus estate etc. and it allows you to use the full space from floor to roof whilst ensuring that occupants are safe from items shifting into the cabin area in the event of hard braking or during an accident.

The only option available in the UK is the 'dog guard' metal bars - you will see this in the Skoda (Octavia?) accessories catalogue.

Yes, that U.S. Sad, didn't really want to fit a dog guard and the net would have been a good replacement. Ah well....thanks all

I too would have spec'd this if it was available to us in the U.K.

Perhaps someone with access to the EKTA parts catalogue could see how many unique parts are needed.

Apart from the mountingpoints in the roof, I dont think any mods are necessary. I can take some pics of it tomorrow if you want?

Pictures would be great, part numbers even better. Can then see if the dealers can source the parts individually.
