Shortened shocks best to go with them then. Suppose I may aswel go coilies when I do it then.

A lot will depend on the condition and mileage covered by your shocks but the best springs for using with standard shocks are the Eibach Pros.

As mentioned though it's always better going for matched springs and shocks or coilovers.

Shorter springs need to have a higher spring rate.  Even a stock spring with a coil chopped of it has an increased spring rate.  Therefore the dampers have to work harder to control the spring oscillations and wear out a bit quicker.

I fitted Eibachs on mine at 95,000km and had to replace the OEM dampers with Koni Sport at 120,000km.  In hindsight I should have done the lot all at the same time.

Dont fall for the cheapness of springs only. I did this mate and had to pay fitting twice when my shocks went soon after. Get shocks at same time it will save you money in long run and will be 100% better then springs alone. I went for pi 30mm springs on koni shocks.20150126_151952.jpg

Cheers fellas will look into the shocks also. How are the pi springs faring for you?

There fine mate. Dirt cheap but in no way budget feel. I get them on recommendations of other pi users in here. Alot of people are quick to jump on the H&R eibatch waggons. The pi springs are for the vrs so the 30mm it says on the tin is what you get. Coupled with the koni str.t shocks there amazing.

I ran pi springs on my last car Vauxhall Vectra they done 25000 miles no issues whatsoever great spring for a good price.
