Clock on Favorit not working

Featured Replies

I had a flat battery on my K reg Favorit. So I took battery off and gave it a good overnight charge. Refitted it and away I went. However the clock is time piece no longer works. There is no reference to the clock in Haynes and thee is no indication it is fused at the box. Has it just given up the ghost by coincidence or is there a simple fix? Cheers. Ps Car has just reached the dizzy heights of 15k miles!!

Clock circuit runs through fuse F1.

Rule of thumb: when an electrical consumer stops working, check the fuses.

Thanks for that. Will check today. However it is not a digital clock but the original analogue type. Mystified why circuit not shown on wiring diagram!

Yeah, I know. You wanna see the schematic? Here you go.

Mystified? About Haynes? Well, don't be. Haynes is not the Holy Bible, ask anyone.

Thanks for your advice. Will have another look. Took out fuses in 1 and replaced both but to no avail. Will study diagram.

Being not very schematic literate where does it show the feed to the various fuses in the box? Sorry for not being up to speed

Is your relay box looking like this?

Or your car has the old model of box? If yes to the latter, take a good photo of it and upload it here. Basically you are looking for a 6-pin connector marked N and on pin 6 (black wire) you need to check first if there are 12 Volts from the battery through fuse F1. You need to have the very basic skills of a car technician, measure with a probe lamp or with a multimeter.
