installing remote central locking octavia 2009 tdi s

Featured Replies

Have bought a remote central locking system, trying to install without taking the door panels to pieces, I was told it should be possible to do it from the door lock/unlock switch on the center console, i've found this switch has 4 wires blue/grey---brown/green---brown---white/yellow.

I believe the wires on the unit have a white/black for door opening and white for locking, does anyone know which wires I connect to, if anyone has a wiring diagram showing the wire colours that may help.

Not that bothered about indicators flashing etc just the lock unlock facility.

Thanks guys

Geoff I am looking for the same info and am getting nowhere. There are a lot of sad timewasters on these forums who dont know their arse from a hole in the ground.

Have you got a Haynes manual? Usually they have the circuit diagrams in there.

If not, the simplest way to do this would be with a multimeter and probe the connections.
