Ok its getting warmer - 

 

The air con has never worked since i got it, so i have no idea where to start.

 

When i say it doesn't work, i mean the button does nothing inside the car, no back light, no noise .. does completely nothing. All i know is the fuse is fine lol.

 

So should i **** the money away and get it regased, or just forget it for ever? Im aware of the high expensive for professional diagnosis and repair on A/C ... There are no fault codes showing, but if its not powering on, i wouldn't see any i guess :P

Ive just checked on position 1, there is no light, but something is trying to work sounds like a relay clicking noise from the engine bay .. also the recirculation air button, also seems to do nothing but flashes on ignition :P

Ive owned my fabia for 6months now.the aircon has never worked either. The button illuminates tho

So took it to mechanic who just so happens to do aircon for 39quid.

He plugged in and said there was tiny amount still left in.but not enough for pump to work. Took 20-30 mins.freezing aircon later.

If i was you id just take it to get regassed.they will test for leaks.and test. It maybe the light just doesnt work on dash.

Have you checked the other functions of the heating system?

Like what lol .. make it sound like its laden with options :p You can only mean the 1 other function ... that is hot air lol and has a knob ...what all cars from 1970+ have rofl... Yes the heating works as it should

 

BTW should there be a light that comes on when pressing the a/c button? .. im going to have to check the wiring to these, as no light on the re circulation (but flashes on ignition) and no light on a/c (no flash on ignition)
