Superb driver wannabe

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have seen and test driven a Superb and must say that its a real decent

automobile.

Hoping to buy one in the near future, therfore nosing around the webs to find

out more before making the purchase.

You can be sure i'll be asking a lot of questions, albeit some may sound a little bit silly.

Thanks

Welcome to Briskoda and ask away ..........Had my Superb nearly a month and really enjoying it

Hi and thanks for the warm welcome.

Lets start with the easy / silly ones . . . .

our local dealership only offers the Classic model, with black leather and door and centre console trims etc.

have asked but they will not order one with the beige interior one.

easy question first - do all Classic model comes only in black interior trims ?

silly questions next - how costly and difficult will it be to get :

1. beige interior trims ie console, glove box, door panels, carpets etc etc.

2. electric memory seats for the front.

Any idea boys ?

Thanks.

Mine is a classic and only only came with black cloth trim (but there are different trims in various countries)

would have to be from skoda and could work out expensive (not much for each piece but there are lots of pieces)

2. electric memory seats for the front.

Probably very expensive and to be honest may not be worth trying to do as an add on

Any idea boys ?

Thanks

My advice would be to get yourself up to glasgow for a weekend, as 2 dealerships here have several cars for sale, one of them has the 2.8v6 for a bargain price, but not goign to advertise them (St Andrews Skoda).

Although it is less economical, it's in top trim, and is cheaper than diesel. Only downside for me was it was an auto and I prefer a 6spd manual.

Best thing to do is look on Skoda Uk website, and do a national search, selecting exactly the model you want.

Apparently there is a 3 month waiting list for a new car at the moment

Recently upgraded from a Xplate Octy to a 2004 2.5V6 Tdi comfort with all the toys you could need and cost to change was about the price of a basic fabia. Bargain.

Rides very smoothly, and actually handles the back roads pretty good too. The dealer let us take it out for more than an hour on roads I knew, something you don't get from the larger dealerships. Makes very rapid progress.

Enjoy whichever one you go for.

PS Just try getting an audi or vw similarly specced for anywhere near the same money. Need to get to A6 size to get close to legroom, and economy..
