Headlight wash covers.

Featured Replies

Hi

Not sure what these are really called, so I have called them the above.

My issue is, when the jets come up to clean the headlights and then retract, sometimes the offside jet does not fully lower and the cover is say 3mm above the bumper.

A quick gentle push the re houses the jet/cover in the correct location,

Has anyone else had this issue, how to resolve or should i take to garage to get adjusted.

thanks

If I remember rightly, its a known issue and if you take it into the dealer they will fix it free of charge. Something to do with the mechanism not quite retracting fully.
Someone will be along in a min with more knowledge though!

Mine did it too when the car was new, but after 3-4 times of pushing them down myself in the first few months they have come down themselves ever since.

Noticed that on mine a couple of times, during winter. The car was three months old at the time. Come spring time, almost 6 months into owning it, I have not seen it happen again.

Yep, common issue.

Haven't taken mine to my stealer about it yet, I got a good squirt of WD40 to sort it.

Yeah **** in the retractors please, no comedians ask how often you have to do it either.
